Hi all
I need some expert help.
I have a 2018 iMac, with an external hard drive. I use Lightroom and Photoshop, and have my photos stored on this external drive.
I also have a NAS drive, which is directly connected to my Sky broadband router with a cable.
My iMac can see this NAS drive.
What I wanted to be able to do, but apparently cant due to Lightroom constraints, is have my lightroom photo collection on the NAS drive so that I can access it remotely if I want to.
Turns out I have to use the external drive for the library, and can sync a copy to the NAS drive (which I'm yet to get working).
I've just treated myself to a new shiny Macbook Pro, and now would really like to have my photos stored on the NAS drive so I can edit my photos from the Macbook or the iMac.
Any idea how I might go about this? Is it still "impossible"? Has anyone done anything similar?
You know the old saying "all the gear ... no idea"? Well I feel like thats me right now.
Any help very much appreciated, and am happy to explain further if this rambling post isn't making much sense.
Thanks
Steve
