ok first off i bought this computer from a friend it worked but it froze up all the time so i was goofing off with it and deleted the extensions folder and files and i have tried everything to restore it to factory is there any way to move trashed items on command +s back to computer bc all i have now is a apple and a loading circle at the bottom i have tried every control and every startup item only ones that work are control +s , control +v, t,n,option and ive tried the disc and flash drive of startup files and everything i think its a virus thats locking me out plus extension files i deleted..... any help would b appreciated ty its a macbook 3 btw i dunno what is running are any of that

You're going to have to be more specific as to which MacBook you have. You haven't really provided us with info that's needed to try to help you. For now... try rebooting the MacBook while holding down the Command plus the R key. That should get the MacBook into recovery if the hard drive or SSD is still OK. And by the way, you do not have a virus since there are none in the wild that can infect your MacBook. Malware yes, viruses no.

So, it's a MBP 2008. But I still don't get it...why do you call it Mac Book 3?

I was reading the info I found on the computer I guess I should have looked it up first sorry bout that is there anything I can try to reformat it any help I have tried everything

As already said restart and hold cmd+r to reinstall.

Read here:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201314

And please use a proper thread title so that people know what u want. Help for MacBook in a MacBook Forum is not very informative cos every second thread is about helping. the search function can't read ur mind;)

Regarding search: If u google mac + reinstall u gain that exact answer.
If u google mac + help u get ???
