Have tried a lot but failed!

I am making photography of Real Estate and charge per square feet.

Fixed price is $35

Variable are:

75 cents per sqf up to 2,500

37,5 cents from 2,501 and up.

Houses are from 900 to 12,000 sqf.

Tried to do at least twelve different formulas but can not get it right! End up with negative when lower sqf than 2,500.

Anyone knows here that knows where I can get help? At least I have tried but not sure how I should create my formula!!!

Math.
A=your SqF
P = your charged price for Photog job
so,
P=A*.75 if A<2501 else .375
That's your basic math program statement. You would have to adapt that for your use.

Thanks!!! You are all geniuses here! I received one more and both works! have ordered a NUMBERS-Book today, seems that it can do wonders. I did use Excel 35 years ago but don´t remember much. Seems that NUMBERS is a similar but looks cleaner and is an Apple native app!

=35+MIN(A1+0,2500)*0.75+MAX(0,A1-2500)*0.375

PS I grew up in Stenungsund not far away from your SAAB-City ;-)
