Hello All

Yes, I'm a closet newbie...lol:eek:

I'm old, as well. Yet eager to get this macbook working properly, without to much cost.

Issues, yes, both me and the macbook have issues.

This macbook, I received almost new from my deceased brother. I know very little about the apple product, period. I find snippets of help here and there, yet its confusing, and sometimes, not helpful at all.

I have a Macbook>OS X>10.6.8.

1.The computer doesn't finish updates.
2. Can't look at e-cards, as sometimes, I need to or want to.
3. Microsoft word, Excel, quit working within 15 seconds or less after opening.
4. If you have the Time/Much Patience, I would sincerely appreciate all or any help.

Buying a new computer is NOT in my budget.

If you give me simple directions, this old broad can follow, all the better....:D

I would really really appreciate some honest help! If you have a good sense of humor, that would be a bonus for the both of us.

We'll need more information about your MacBook. Click on the Apple logo in the top left corner, and then About This Mac. Then click on the More Info button and tell us things like model number, year, processor etc.
