Need Help With Opening Wmv Files

I tried flip4 mac and stix, but still not able to open music videos that I had downloaded on my old windows pc. I have tried to open these files on my iMac with no success. The files are all WMV video files. Please help :-(

Are you sure the files aren't protected Windows Media files?

Have you tried VLC? You should be able to find it on VersionTracker.

sorry, mate; if VLC doesn't work then I'm not sure if anything ever will. (probably corrupted or smth) do they play in Windows' windows media player?

do they still play? if they do, your best bet is to run them through a codec converter (not sure if there are any free ones out there tho)
