I pulled out my old windtunnel PPC in order to get some old records which are important to me. Everything was going fine and two days later, the drive with the key data on it failed. I then recalled it had happened back in 2003 ... and I recall fixing the problem with Diskwarrior. I have tried disk recovery (as I did back in 2003) with 10.4 install DVD (Leopard), but no luck ... the error reported is a "failure to exit" which Diswarrior can fix. But I have lost the Diskwarrior disk. The latest ones won't work on 10.4 either. And I suspect without the original disk, I won't be able to upgrade, and then perhaps, downgrade???
Any suggestions? I cannot find a Diskwarrior 4 disk in Australia ... there are some in the USA, but the time to arrive is about 5 or 6 weeks .... plus the cost!!!
