I am on a macbook with a 75GB harddrive and i am looking for a way to archive files on my harddisk. I am no too good at programming myself, so i thought i should ask some help here.:)

    What i would like is:

A main folder (on my desktop) in which i can drop files (in subfolders).

When i connect my harddrive and run the script, it should scan the folder and copy the files to the harddrive (in the same directorystructure).
Then the script should then create aliases in the main folder on my computer.

In the end, I will always have a folder with aliases, so i can see whats on my harddrive (offline).
I can put new files in the folder (between the aliases) and the script can identify them, copy them to the harddrive and create an alias for them in their original places.

A usefull extra feature or script would be a way to create aliases of the files on the harddisk in the same directorystructure bac on my macbook. This way, I can reorganise the external harddisk anytime and sync my desktopfolder to it

I hope someone can help me
    Thanks in advance!!
