Why does my MacBook Air lose all of its battery charge during the night, while unplugged? The battery is BRAND NEW, from OWC. The Energy Saver settings are: Computer sleep: 10 minutes; Display sleep: 10 minutes. There was 58% charge left last night when I put the computer to sleep. This morning?? - Dead, 0%, nothing, nada. Any thoughts?

open terminal and paste this:

cat /var/log/system.log | grep -i "wake reason"

Then it will give reasons why the computer wakes during sleep.
Google what each response means and how to go about resolving it.
Note I'm not a real terminal user by a long shot, I just went through the same thing, and was instructed to do what I put above, and it helped. Now instead of losing 45% overnight, it looses about 8-10%from a full charge from after work around 6pm until 8 am the next day.

Good luck.
Brad

ps mine was giving a code of uhc2 I think, which led me to do a lot of resets and re did all my printer set ups.
