iPod touch Need Help

i tried to jailbreak my ipod touch and now my ipod doesnt turn on can anyone help
 
i had to put it on dfu mode then i clicked jailbreak and when i clicked jailbreak it just turned off
 
If it was in DFU mode when you clicked Jailbreak how do you know it's turned off? Plug it into iTunes to see what it says
