I have huge trouble with ispw stuffs, i downloaded ispw file for iphone5s (i looked at the number and its GSM model btw i live in america) when i tried to downgrade through itunes, and it kept pop up saying file is not compatible. i even tried restore downgrade through pangu app, and it even said same thing - file can not be used because its not compatible blahh

i even did tried to download from different websites but got all same result.
iPhone6,1_8.1_12B411_Restore.ipsw thats my file name

what should i do?
 
Did you put it into recovery (DFU) mode first? BTW, you got the right IPSW.

Which phone do you have? Carrier, model number?

You don't have to put a phone in DFU mode to restore.

All you have to do is hold shift and click restore, then select a file with the extension .ipsw.

It's also possible that the file you downloaded was mislabeled. Try again from another site.

You never have to do anything......but it is recommended when getting error 21 to put it into DFU (black screen)....so it's your choice.

And BTW, you don't have.....as you say....but it is always better and safer :)
