I've carpal tunnel syndrome so my hand get tired very quickly and prone to drop whatever I am holding. I had a Mini 2 with a Otterbox Defender. It was ok. I now have a Air 2 and I'm looking for something that is as light as possible but give has reasonable amount of protection. I know it is a trade off between weight and protection but I don't go hiking or work at a construction site, I just need some protection from the occasion drop. Any suggestions?

    ps: I don't need a keyboard.

Listed below is what I use. It's thin and light, and has enough Protection for the iPad. It won't fatigue your hands either. It's also very well made and will activate the display for you when you open the cover and turn the display off when you close it. High recommend.

My wife has that one on her Air 2. I recently got this one and really like it:

I have a couple of different Otterbox cases for the Air 2 - the Defender and the Symmetry - and they both add a lot of weight to the iPad.
