    Hey guys,

So I need a new laptop bad. I do not have one now. My needs are as follows, do some work for law school , do some work for my company, itunes, some photos, email and web surfing.

So here is what I am torn between, the new MBA 13in 256gb or the 2012 Macbook pro 4gb and 500 gb hard drive. The reason I am torn is because I do not need the latest and greatest and best buy has the macbook pro for $1099 and the cost is so appealing to me, the new MBA is 1299.

Any advice would be greatly welcomed.

    Thanks

It's possible your law school may have the MBP for $999. Check on Apple's education store online. MBAs are also less expensive on the education store.

Definitely check out Apple's online education store.

As for Office, you can either track down a copy of Office for Mac 2011 or the new 365 is also compatible. 365 University is good for 4 years with a .edu email.
