Need Mac 10.6x Divx & VLC player files

Mine is an older 2007 MacBookPro w. Snow Leopard 10.6 o/s.

I'm can't locate the Mac 1) Divx & 2) VLC player files.
I was advised to update these files for video streaming.
When playing (UTorrent) movies, the video works, but not the audio.
I've searched Google & Filehippo.com (safe site). All searches return as Windows O/S, not Mac.
Will someone please help locate or email the links?
