Ive created a Distribution Certificate for my first app.

Now I would like to make another app, but Im wondering what I need to renew in order to distribute the other application.

The various things in the Program Portal are:

    1) Distribution Certificate

    2) App ID

    3) Distribution Provisioning Profile

Secondly, assuming I need to create a whole new Distribution Certificate, how do I install it to xcode? If I drag it to xcode, wont it just overwrite the Distr.Cert. that I already have installed there but for another app? Or will it be added rather than replace the old one?

In fact when you go to select it in the Code Signing area of your Project Settings you'll see each version listed by date if you haven't changed the name of it.

Oh, yes, your right :) And apparently you dont need a new distribution certificate, only a new provisioning profile.

But what about App ID? Arent they individual to each applicationa (as the name suggests)?

Also, I have a vague recollection of there being some difference between an app id with the following character-type: XXXXXXXXXX.*, and this:*. It was something about one of the above could be used to publish many applications, while the other could only be used on one. Or have I got it all wrong?

Either way, my App ID-type is XXXXXXXXXX.*.
