Need reliable video download ext for Chrome

I found Video Downloader unreliable....you play a video ask it to download and it says "no media"
Others you can add to Chrome or Firefox....implant Yahoo on your browser....it seems all these apps are conjobs....no one offers a reliable video downloader that actually works and it is not overly complicated....or implants something on your mac.

There is an add-on for FireFox called "VideoDownloadHelper" that's been brought over to Chrome. You can give that a try.

I did...I reference it in my post...while watching a youtube video....clicked on it and it says "no media found"

Was the video you were watching protected?

In the interim you can use ClickToFlash with Safari. I have not come across a video it can't download.
