Last night my aluminum-casing Macbook took a spill on its head subsequently sending nice big cracks through the monitor display glass. The display functions 100% fine and the computer works as normal. Is there a way to simply get the glass on the display replaced without having to get a whole new LCD put in, thereby avoiding the $700+ repair costs that I've heard tell of for broken displays? I would appreciate any insight on this type of repair or Mac repairs in general. Thanks guys and gals. P.S.: Why doesn't Mac have an online desk to contact with these questions via chat or email like other companies? The prices of their products certainly warrant such service, don't you think?
