Okay, here's the story. I dropped off my iMac at the Apple Store about last month for a optical drive replacement. Got it back, and the optical drive works perfectly.

Fast forward to today. I just discovered a chip in the aluminum on the iMac, on the botton. I know for a fact that the chip was not caused by me, because the iMac has been sitting on the desk basically untouched since, and I transported it in the original box.

So my question is, should I bring it back and complain?

On one hand, it has been a month, and the iMac is running perfectly.

But on the other hand, I'm kind of pissed about this chip in the aluminum. It was in near-perfect condition prior to the repair.

What do you guys think?

not really much you can do... take it back to tham and ask how that got there.... otherwise its only aesthetic and not a big deal. just write something important on a sticky not and put the note over the bad spot and you'll forget about it in no time! a chip cant really be repaired, the part would have to be replaced. I doubt they will want to do that. Not going to be worth it to take them to court over.. Unless it really is that important. But thats life huh, you cant really do much about it! :(
