I have a server which is hosting a webpage.
I also have different website with a different company
and want to move one site to the other so they share space on the same server.

My question is how do I move the .com address from one server to the other??

Is this something I can do or do I have to tell my hoster to do it

You have to go through the domain registrar. They should have information on their site on the process to go through to do the transfer.

You have to go through your domain registrar, but you don't actually have to transfer it, you can just repoint it to your new server with the dns/nameserver settings or you can just do a domain forwarding. I prefer to keep my hosting and domain registration separate.
