Need some tips on a strange folder issue

I've copied the contents of one external drive to another external drive (NTFS with Paragon installed), but there's one folder that won't show up in Mavericks. I've tried transferring the specific folder to different external drive (exfat) and it won't show up on that drive either within Mavericks. The drives are new and all folders show up fine in Windows where I've checked it for errors and it's ok.

I haven't used Mac for about 8 years as my main computer, is there a setting or something anyone can think of that I'm overlooking? Please discuss

Rename the folder? Create a new folder, verify you can see it, copy contents from old folder to new?
