They don't fit in your pocket. I've destroyed the lining of 2 pairs of Jeans by owning phones that are too big and never again. The reason a lot of men carry those small bags around is because their phones are too big for their pockets.

Since Jobs passed there isn't anyone willing to push back against the absurdity of modern phone design. We've broken all the fundamental rules of ergonomics and for what? A bigger portal to Doom scroll.

You want the correct answer? Unless your eyesight demands it, sell the Max and buy a regular sized Pro. There is no discernable difference in battery unless you're a 15 year old addicted to Tiktok.
I wear mostly loose skater jeans so don't think it will be an issue. The keyboard on the Pro Max is great. Not as compact as the Pro models. Also my eye sight is not that great.

If I would pocket a 6.3 Pro model, then the phone will tumble around in my pocket ending up sideways and sticking out which is no good either.

I think Apple should just dump the 6.3 on their Pro models and bump it up to 6.6 leaving the 6.9 on the Pro Max models.

Those are all fair points!

this too- and absolutely no back pockets. thats how bendgate obv happened in the iPhone 6.
Bendgate shouldnt matter, it’s made out of titanium, you need intense forces to bend it. Main issue is it just bad for posture to carry big stuff in back pockets. I feel for women who have tiny pockets in their jeans that have to use the backpockets when there are no other options available like purse or jacket

Can you just post a picture just to see what you mean my this?

So the screen display should not be facing upwards towards me but against my legs?

Anyways, please post a photo as an example.

Would appreciate it.

I know it's not a 17PM, but if you look at my first post with the picture, would that be the normal way?
I’ll get a drawing up later since my alt iPhone 7 is bricked so I can’t post a pic or vid of how I pocket my iPhone.

Much like the air- but our 17 pros are all full on aluminum so we are back into aluminium. I don’t even use back pockets it’s uncomfortable too.
