Need suggestions for lowering monthly phone bill.

We have a really high VZW bill here, but its due to the amount of phones, phone payment costs and insurances. Because we have 6 lines. Only 2 are dumb phones, the other 4 are smart phones. So its costly after all the add ins and taxes and stuff. But we have the new Verizon Plan XL 16GB $90 a month with data carryover. We really don't quite need that much data for our needs, but we will keep it there I think.

That is way too high a price and why bother with data carryover? I'm on Sprint Unlimited for $60 a month plus the iPhone X for $20 /month with Lease (w/option to own).

how would you talk to retentions? i have the smallest data plan which is 2gb now but i dont need that much
Tell them that you think your current plan is too expensive. Let them know that you have been happy with the service but if they won't give you a better deal, you will have to sign up with someone else.

Customer acquisition cost for the carriers is high. That is why the good companies do what they can to keep you.

If you're a Xfinity customer, their mobile plan looks decent. You can pay by the gig ($7) or $45 for unlimited. You have to have their internet or cable. They use Verizon's towers so you're good to go there.

I pay CAD $34 for 4 GB Data, unl call and text for my phone plan. Who can beat me?? :D:D

£12 for 14Gb, unlimited calls and texts. I bought my iPhone separately. Our regulator favours competition over anything else, so it’ll be a while before we get 5G, but in the meantime we get lots of data for cheap! I also pay £23 for 36mb/s part fibre broadband, with unlimited data.

Bc your experience isn’t the case for about 99% of the people from my experience.

And your experience includes the 55 million and counting happy customers that are currently on Sprints network? Things have changed for the better over the last 5 years, but to each their own :)

First off, don't quote your current hardware payment 'cuz those are fixed cost and there is nothing u can do until the are paid off. Then if Verizon is the only thing that works for you then u want to stick with CDMA. Then "experience" doesn't help you because vendors do vary rates according to locale. Knowing your typical usage will help tremendously because then you can zero in which plan with what cap is acceptable to you. I don't know whether retention works until your current contract is about to expire.

The "best" plan here, is ~21,5$ for unlimited data, calls and texts. 5GB of that unlimited data can also be used all over the EU, in case one travels.

£12 for 14Gb, unlimited calls and texts.

On top of that, Three’s roam like home is the only one which includes the USA, so I get exactly the same allowance for the same price. I wonder if there’s a loophole which could work for someone stuck with the American carriers?
