Na we were always gonna get a cheaper windows one. The mac was just something for me to save up for. Ill be watching out for the new macs and macbooks though none the less!!

The slowest core I7 processor is faster than any highest clocked Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processors out there. It's very siginificant. It's been a while since the CPU industry made this kind of speed improvement.
I do a lot of video transcoding and it takes about 20 minutes to transcode a 2 hour movie on the Core i7 compared to 1hr 15 min on my mac's Core 2 Duo.
