Need to check I've got what I paid for..

Hi guys,

I'm new to the mac family(!), so apologies if this is in the wrong section. I just got my 15" uMBP in the post yesterday, configured with 320gb hdd @ 7200rpm (though I'm a little worried now browsing through other threads that the 7200 is a little troublesome?) - and I wanted to know how to check the speed of my harddrive on my mac, to make sure my order is correct.

Also, I'm a little confused about this whole "1.5 gigabit sata" issue, when they should be 3gig? Does that apply to me, as I checked and mine is only 1.5 also.

My mac specs: 2.8ghz, 4gb ram, 9600gt w/512mb vram.

Run the software update, there's a firmware upgrade to let it run at 3. The System Profiler should let you know the speed.
