    Just keep your MP3 files.

    Note: iTunes can do it.

Just out of curiosity why do you need AAC files?

You can change the iTunes encoder in Preferences -> Advanced -> Importing.

    for iphoneringtonemaker.
they are all .mp3s and I use itoner. but now that apple has allowed the old tricks again I want to gert them into itunes proper.
I cant use itunes cause it does not read the tags properly and I'm too lazy to fix 100 tags.
