have problems deleting a volume cos it is not shown on my regular desktop. i tried to use terminal to go in to try remove that volume but was unable to do so because it is named 'lazy dog'. am unable to access it because of the space between lazy and dog. i will really appreciate any help. thanks in advance.:)

There are two methods to handle spaces.
1. Put the file name in single quotes.
'lazy dog'
2. Put a \ then a space.
lazy\ dog

But why are you deleting a Volume? A volume is a mounted device.

oops.. okies.. not volume den..:) i have no idea wat they are called but i partioned my hard disk.. and along the way.. something happened, and i had 2 of files of the same name...-_-! thanks for the help.
