Are their any obvious things i can do to reclaim space on my hard drive. Im using the latest mountain lion 10.8.2 and im down to 10gb free space. Now i plan on a new hard drive but are their any directories apart from the usual photos etc that i can reclaim space from that im missing. Any help greatly appreciated.
To find out, where you storage capacity is being used, you can use the following free applications: DiskInventory X OmniDiskSweeper JDisk Report GrandPerspective Maybe try a combination of several, if you still can't find the "missing" capacity. What is this "Other" in the storage tab? What is eating up my space? by theSeb And it may be worth taking a look here.
Where does it show that? In "About this Mac" > Storage? Have you looked at any of the other links and applications?
