I have seen anecdotal stories about how some school districts are replacing ChromeBooks with MacBook Neos.

Are there any reliable figures out there that reflect these alleged events? Any teachers or administrators see this?

@sallypat I think works or worked for a school district and mentioned some purchases (not sure if just a test deployment or district-wide)... now just living the good life traveling Europe with his Neo.

I can't see the switching happening this quickly. No IT person wants to completely change their whole system before properly testing things first. Chrome works, while the hardware sucks, it is proven in the field so to speak. My friend is an English teacher in high school and why he does not like the hardware and does not use a Chromebook himself, he ops to bring in his MacBook Pro for what he needs, for what the students do he has control and can monitor what is important. Chrome is already a more limited OS, the NEO is a MacOS that would need serious changes to lock it down to make it run similarly I would imagine.
