Thank you for clicking.

I would only be using it for likely very simple CAD-models. Think PA speaker dimensions and such.

Obviously with the specs it has, rendering and simulation goes out the window. I won't need to have any kind of multitasking going on when running Fusion 360, and when I'm not running that, its value for me will be casual browsing when on the go.

Also, Autodesk say it supports the M1 macs, so I take it should support Apple's other ARM-chips too? As I understand it, it's the same kind of architecture and it does run the same OS.

Thank you so much! / DevelopersDevelopersDevelopersDevelopers

I got an answer from a bit of a pro.

He said for Fusion, even simpler models require 16 GB ram. He suggested going cloud-based applications, such as Onshape.

I thought I would remove my thread but perhaps the "answer" can be of value for someone else down the line searching for this specific topic.

I ran Fusion on my 8GB MacBook Air but that was like 3+ years ago... I agree, I'd really want 16GB RAM today for Fusion. The app can be a bit of a pig, resource-wise.
