First let me start by saying I know I will probably get grief for this post but I had to share this anyway. I work as a Tech Support Managern in IT/Telcom, I am up there in years and I will retire in 3 years. Im on vacation and did not bring my work windows laptop or my personal 15" MacBook air. One of biggest customers had an issue and I needed to access the system to help my team. I DID NOT want to attemt anything on my iPad even thogh I have connected to the system before using an iPad. This was just too critical to take chances. So I found a BestBuy about 25 miles away. I looked at the laptop selection and what was in stock was pretty dismal and expensive. However, The 256G Neo was in stock and I needed a laptop urgently so I bought it thinking Id return it. But after using it and seeing that it CAN do what I need it to do with 8G RAM not being an issue I decided to keep it. With Chrome open with two tabs, Safari open with 6 tabs, Messanger opened, mail opened and Citrix connection to the remote site. After about 2 hours connected this is what the memory usage looked like. I have no intentions of replacing my MBA but this is a great little laptop to throw in my bag where ever I go.
Im sure the 8G debate has been beaten to death but I just wanted to share an experience with the Neo.
