I heard about this supposedly super bright glow-in-the-dark keyboard cover specifically for the Neo https://shopneoglow.com/collections/all and it looks and sounds a bit too perfect to be a real product. The website seems to look nice but I tried clicking "Buy Now" but nothing happens.

Anyone else see this and think it suspicious?

Edit, I haven't heard back when I emailed them but this is 100% a scam. One of the "reviews":

"I work late editing videos and this is a game-changer. Every key visible in total darkness. Bright but not distracting. Fit on my M3 Air is flawless."

Really? A "Mac Neo" (not even the name; it's MacBook Neo) and yet the review says "M3 Air"? They're using AI to generate these reviews for sure.

Interesting concept, but seems a little sketchy. Loved by thousands? And those pictures seem pretty crystal clear for some glow in the dark cover. I have a remote with glow in the dark keys and it is nowhere near that bright.
Seems like the entire goal of the product at this point is to get your email address. Aside from that, I get the same looping.

All that being said, if it does start working, I will probably order one. Seems like a low cost way to fix one of the main issues with the NEO, although I think I would have to cut off the upper right corner to allow Touch ID to work.

Exactly. That's my thinking. I'll update if I am able to order. I emailed them and no reply yet.

Didn't click the link because it's 99% a scam.

Regular consumer photoluminescent uses inexpensive pigments which is why they're dim and don't last long. The expensive stuff is based on strontium aluminate, which you see in luxury watches and commercial exit signs.

I would still take one made out of the cheap stuff if they sold it for this price. But I agree, it does seem like a scam at this point. Too bad, it's a pretty clever idea.

If you need keyboard lights, why buy a device that doesn't have them?

The keyboard doens't need lights to work, but if I can save $500 by buying a laptop without lit keyboard. And then someone offers a solution where I can see the keys in the few times I use it in low light, for $30. That's a pretty good deal. Spending double on the laptop just to get the lit keyboard is not.

The website is a scam, and I would never put any type of keyboard cover on with closed laptop. The keys are very close to the screen and extra height even small amount may touch screen.
