If you run your own (Jellyfin) media server, I highly suggest you take a look a hard look at Neptune for AppleTV. It puts Infuse to shame, in regards to layout, easy setup and use, speed, developer builds wth active response and support in the Netpune community. It is very easy to customize to your liking. Neptune is lovely and a real joy to use. If you have any questions, I will be glad to answer if I can.

I managed to get plex pass when it was cheap for a perpetual license. Otherwise, I would want to be all about Jellyfin and something like this.

I was definitely not a fan of infuse.

I bought a Plex Pass years ago as well. I have found Jellyfin to be so much better especially with remote streaming.

I just found Neptune this morning. So far I am very impressed. I’ve been a long time Emby user. The Neptune ui is not only better looking it seems more responsive. I had been trying Infuse as a front end for Jellyfin but never felt like the browsing menus worked well enough for me to make the switch.
So far everything I’ve tried plays direct.

Glad to see you came across Neptune. The iOS Test Flight became available yesterday as well and the Developer already released an update overnight. With the update, I can now stream remotely on iOS using Tailscale.

In my opinion, the Trident player in Neptune is much faster and more seamless than Infuse. Trident also supports Dolby Vision. Check out the Discord channel for Neptune.

I’m going to try it tomorrow. Just curious: do I need to side load? Also why the website points to discord and doesn’t provide a direct link to install on Apple TV???

Thank you! This is a very good app, I really like it.
There are some awesome features on the horizon that I can't talk about just yet. I am involved in a special TestFlight and have been very impressed with what I am seeing. You are going to be even more impressed 🙂 Glad you like it. I ended up deleting Infuse which I think will lose a lot of business once Neptune is more widely known.

Really like it, thanks again for the recommendation. But the first app I bought was Infuse Pro so I’m nostalgic. Hopefully it will make both apps better in the future.

Have you tried Fusion? It’s not anymore in the App Store, though.
