Finally got a NES Classic. I noticed that some of the sprites flicker in Super Mario Bros., is this normal? Also, in Final Fantasy, noticed the bottom of the screen kind of flickers/has artifacts, is this normal? Why didn't they fix this on the NES Classic?

It's probably normal.

I noticed some glitches at top of screen on my NESc playing Super C. I checked some YouTube footage of same game played on NESc, and saw the same exact thing. I also read in reviews that glitches were left in on purpose. Interesting, especially since I don't notice any of these glitches running Super C on my Mac via emulation. Nintendo must have used some un-optimized emulation engine on the NESc.

You might check Youtube for Super Mario Bros footage played on NESc. I bet you will see similar glitches too. I doubt you have an issue with your classic, but if you think you do, go ahead and call Nintendo.

If you convince yourself the glitches are normal, but the glitches still really bother you, you can hack your NES classic and put another NES emulator on it that will likely improve the emulation.

Sprite flicker was present on the original NES.
