If 3D Touch is a purported new feature, shouldn't it actually be present? After updating, and then restarting iPhone, I have no such 3D Touch support on my iPhone 6s Plus.

Apps like Netflix or YouTube don't let you have PiP and split screen because they want you to stay in the app. Like YouTube, they make you even pay just to use background audio play. It's really up to the developers, otherwise I think they just force you to stay in app instead of having in a small window

I just YouTube in safari and request desktop mode and use PiP that way. Seems to work okay. The biggest concern is it seems to take a little longer to load videos.

I wish Netflix would have added it in this update.

"Post-Play experience (episode auto-play/recommendations) now on iPhone"

No doubt not able to be disabled, like the horrendous AppleTV version. I'll never know as I finally got fed up and unsubscribed yesterday. Good riddance Netflix.

Why is auto play bad? You can choose to not watch the episode.

YouTube doesn't support PIP either. Grr...

Of course we know what PiP is. Thanks for asking.

Apple implemented PiP so we could watch while ANY app is running, but it's up to the app vendors to implement any/all of that functionality. YouTube technically does offer PiP because we can watch a video while browsing other videos. It does not, however, offer full functionality. Hopefully they will but I'm not going to hold my breath. After all... it's the Apple model: announce an upcoming feature then implement only part of it at first, expanding over time.

So, supposedly YouTube itself does offer PiP if you subscribe to YouTube Red: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...ipp-native-res-support.1957872/#post-22606771

i really don't like how Netflix works on the new Apple TV, it just lets you binge on! It had been bothering me for some time now, as sometimes i fall asleep watching something on Netflix and its just goes on and on, even after the TV goes off. Then I have to wake up and scroll back up to the last episode i remember watching. First world problem, i know... but you'd think that issue would've been resolved by now.
Turn off auto play next episode in your Netflix settings ...

Weird indeed. Setting on- still shrinks credits and starts next episode, until I select the minimised view. Until the last update we couldn't even do that.
Have you tried contacting Netflix to see what they might have to say about it?

Yes. Several times. By email and twitter. They simply don't care. I'm not their target audience any more.

Sad that piracy is now one of the quickest, most convenient, most reliable and best quality way to watch a movie*

* not that I condone piracy. I'm just sad the industry is pushing people this way and don't seem to realise it, or more likely do but simply don't care.
