Netflix Games Engaging Less Than 1 Percent of Subscribers

But in the game of hungry hungry corporations, won't Apple miss out if 10 years from now they are the only one that didn't gobble up any massive media companies? Disney has Fox's entire library of TV shows and movies, Amazon has MGM's. Microsoft has a huge library of "must have" IPs. The media landscape is being carved up and over the coming decades will help these corporations become media empires. Apple doesn't have any meaningful game studios, it has no back catalogue of beloved films or franchises, Apple doesn't even own a TV network.

You’re putting Apple’s benefit over your own benefit. Apple’s success isn’t going to make *your* life better and if we keep allowing this runaway conglomeration, Apple could end up merged with some horrible company that totally ruins them

If we want Apple to be the winner and the good guy here, they should be lobbying the government for stiff Antitrust action

OTOH, they can offer more services and products at better rates

That’s an illusion. More competition means better prices. Less competition means worse prices. Conglomeration is what happens when companies stop competing because they can just buy smaller companies. That’s why we have antitrust law in the first place

Less competition in this case doesn't mean a monopoly. There's still a few of them around vying for our dollars (like Android vs. iOS)

Just found out today. :p
Tried to play on my Apple TV HD or iPad Air Gen 1. Nope. Missed opportunity on Apple TV.
Works on my iPhone 11 Pro Max for now.

That's beside the point. We're not talking about what's written in the laws, we're talking about what is spurring competition
