Having a weird issue, i live in Australia and I downloaded Netflix using the Australian App Store on my new ATV 4. I changed the DNS on my ATV4 so that I can access the USA content of Netflix. If I go to Netflix I can see all the US content there fine and it plays great, however when I use Siri to search for a movie it isn't finding any US content. Any way to get around this?

Have you tried changing your iTunes store location to US?

that fixed it :) thanks heaps. bit annoying I have to keep jumping between stores but I guess that's what I get for not living in the USA :p

That's good to hear, as I intend to do the same. Did you have to reboot the Apple TV for it to take effect?

No just in settings I switch between stores and it happens immediately. I just need to rechoose my Netflix profile each time.

I'm keeping my ATV2 to set up for access to US Netflix to save having to change settings like this.

ATV2 and ATV3 don't have Siri so you shouldn't be having this problem on ATV4 if you won't be using Siri to search for your movies anyway..

I haven't had an ATV for a while - is it normal to only have one DNS setting in network settings?

To switch between regions - you'll also need to reboot between doing so. The Netflix app always remains open, and there's not (so far) a way to force quit it.

It doesn't matter which region Netflix is signed in to as far as Siri search is concerned though. Siri will only ever search the region your iTunes account is signed into and although you can change this it will sign you out of Apple Music when you do.

Does double-clicking the home button and swiping the Netflix app up, not count as closing it? A reboot every so often is not a massive deal for me, but it would be handy if it is sorted.

Rebooting it didn't work for me. Netflix remains unchanged. However, the Search finds the films from the new region.

Thank you! This works perfectly for me. I think the problem is with Unblock-us (they've been pretty shocking recently, I switched a few weeks ago) this is working fine with Blockless.

Just tried Blockless and it didn't work. :/

Try this - this is what I did:
  1. Double tap the home button - and swipe up for the Netflix app to close
  2. Go to Blockless & change Netflix region
  3. Wait approx 30 seconds
  4. Open Netflix on the ATV
Which region are you switching to and from? Try switching to spain and searching for "The Dovekeepers" - as it's only available in ES.

The search engine does work with Unblock-Us and Blockless, however all the films on the main menu do not change. They're the same as the previous region. Do they change for you?

If I go from Denmark to Canada, I can find Captain Phillips (Canada exclusive), but it doesn't show up in the main menu. This has to be a Netflix bug, since the region do change. It also changed in Blockless, but it took longer.

Are people having issues also changing their iTunes store country in settings?
