I am using an Apple TV 4K on a 1080p TV. I am using subtitles with my video apps and they are set at a custom size and syle (and video override is set to OFF).
After updating to tvOS 13.3, the subtitles in Netflix app have become very small, and it looks like the app is set to 4K or something on my 1080p screen (just a hunch).

I‘ve tried changing the settings and restarting but the issue is still there with Netflix. On rest of the video apps (Prime, HBO, Hulu, Disney+) the subtitles look fine.

Anyone else experiencing this issue? Any advice or just hope to get an update that fixes it.
 
Same issue here, but since I'm running it in 4K it's having the opposite effect. The subtitles now take up 40% of my screen...
 
I have the same problem with captions on Netflix on Apple TV 4K / 1080p TV. I reported the issue to Apple but no update yet, and I have to use Netflix on Chromecast for the moment. Very annoying.
 
I updated to tvOS 13.3.1 beta hoping it would be fixed, but no luck. And no update for Netflix app for some time.
 
i met with netflix i met with apple but no solution unfortunately i have the same problem ios 13.3 i phone 7 plus and netflix subtitles are not growing very small subtitles
 
I just ran into this issue where the subtitle is bigger than any other app on my AppleTv and I'm using a custom style that is set to small. I have 'Video Override' set to off per Netflix's recommendations but the subtitles are large. I just noticed this today though.

It's annoying for sure.
 
I have the same issue's with ios13.3 the custom captions settings in ios are not working with netflix anymore, they do work with primevideo. Strangely i want large subs. and can't seem to het them bigger
 
Don’t you have to login to Netflix via a browser to change the subtitle settings.

Just installed 13.3.1 developer beta 2 on Apple TV 4K and the issue with Netflix subtitles is still not resolved (they are very small the settings do not have any effect). Seeing as this only happens with Netflix, I hope we see an app update soon.
 
Installed tvOS 13.4 beta 1 and finally the small subtitle problem is fixed for Netflix. They took their time.
For everyone else who has this problem, you can easily install a beta profile (betaprofiles.com), update to 13.4 beta 1, then delete the profile so that you get the final 13.4 when released. Or just wait for the official 13.4 update.
