I have the Apple TV 3, not the new release. I use netflix quite a lot, but would like to be able to stream Italian audio. Now that Netflix has started in Italy, this is straight forward on my MBP using a VPN but is a bit more complicated on the Apple TV.
Does anyone have a work around, that does not involve buying a VPN router. Current wireless network is created with Airports on Virgin Media.
Does the new Apple TV have a VPN app yet? Will on get approved?

smart dns should do what you need mate, will cost a nominal monthly fee (usually a couple of quid). I use Unotelly and they allow you to set the preferred netflix region and other things via there website. Very easy to setup on apple tv you just go to the dns in network settings, set to manual and change it to the one your dns provider gives you

There are a lot of providers who do this so shop around, many do very good deals for 12 months etc...

cheers
