I don’t have a problem with how much TV my kid watches. But, I actually think rewards for watching certain shows would make her watch less, not more.
Parents, think about what your kids watch. It’s the same damn shows, isn’t it? Kids get into comfort grooves and like repetitive content. If you’re rewarded for moving on, kids don’t get into those grooves and there’s less addictive comfort in watching the same stuff.
People love to jump on anything aimed at kids and guess the worst possible impact, but it’s always worst-case-scenario and never seems to come from the parents who really know their kids.
