Netflix just needs to add offline watching. Maybe allow people to download offline 3 movies and 6 episodes at a time. No parent would or traveler would ignore this feature.

This is what I'm looking for. I primarily watch a Netflix show on my phone while I'm away from home or commuting. I don't have the monthly cell bandwidth to stream regularly. So the only remaining reason I have Netflix is for the kids shows. If not for that I'd cancel. Offline ability would keep me indefinitely.

Why would everyone want to buy an ATV?

Best interface for netflix and hulu out there.
Some, including myself, would argue that the ATV3 versions would be the best.
You ever seen the roku or smart TV apps? they have great UI's
I personally have not tried any new(past few years) smart tv Netflix apps yet, but the older ones were horrible. Slow, buggy, and never had updates. At least when compared with the ATV3 or 4 version.

I would agree up until a couple of days ago, when they added the categories option.

Yes, I had the Roku 3 up until about 5 or 6 months ago when I sold it in favor of my ATV. I have 2 ATV2's and 1 ATV4. I also have a smart TV with built in Roku, it's ok, but my wife and I prefer the ATV by far.

This is a great addition. One might wonder why this wasn't on the app at launch though.

But, the ATV3 version of genres is a lot better. It gives you sub-categories. Like, under horror > vampire or horror > zombies.

Good point, something my wife and I kept complaining about. We watch the ATV2 (same interface as ATV3) in our bedroom and have the ATV4 in the living room, we got frustrated a few times searching for movies on the ATV4 and wondered why they released a new product with a worse UI. Other than that the entire platform I like better because of Apps, I know have access to my personal collection via PLEX app.

I wish I could pick and choose the things about the ATV3 and 4 that I liked and have them on one device.

The ATV4 has potential, but I feel it still has a long way to go before it would fit the Apple's description of "revolutionary".

We finally subscribed last week, I feel like we were the last ones. Wife wants to watch the new Gilmore Girls and I've been watching Luke Cage.

Using a Roku streaming stick, which I really like. Had a Chromecast we never used, not having a remote really sucked, the Roku is so much better. Just wish it was integrated into the TV so I didn't have to use 3 remotes to get to the Roku.

Only thing I'm confused about, it doesn't look like the kids can create a list of shows they want to watch (My List) like the adults can. Also, not sure if I can add individual episodes or seasons to My List or if it's just shows.

I think my daughters' profile was the same way. I think "My List" might be disabled for restricted profiles. My son's profile was not restricted and he has "My List".

I can't remember, but I think I changed my girls' profile as un-restricted so they could add stuff to their queue.

If this is the case for restricted profiles, I don't know why it is set up like this. Maybe for simplicity and ease of use for little children.
