J JoshFink macrumors regular Original poster Sep 7, 2007 #1 It seems that whenever I connect to a network drive it places an icon on the desktop. Is there any way to remove this icon? When I click on the icon, the trash on the dock turns into an eject icon. Thanks Josh

garybUK Guest Sep 7, 2007 #2 yep open a finder window, then on the menu bar, click Finder - Preferences under 'Show these items on the desktop' untick connected servers.
