After installing parallels 4.0 my computer no longer showed a wirless icon more specifically the icon no longer showed the radio signal part as if it was off, but the connection did continue to work until i reset the computer. i tried adding a new location, deleting network preferences. i am using mac 10.4.11 and a lynksys router. sorry for grammar i am tap typing on a ps3.

Just guessing here, but did Parallels take full control of the wireless device, rather than just using its virtual network? That would probably cause the symptoms you're describing.

I've mostly used Fusion recently, but I believe Parallels will show you which hardware it's using "directly" (vs. accessing via the MacOS layer) via the menus--check and see if it's grabbed the wireless adapter.
