Network Issues - Random dropping of shares

I'm having a problem with my network.

I have an Airport Extreme with a mac mini connected (ethernet) and a iMac connected wirelessly. Both computers run 10.5.5.

Everything works fairly well, but the iMac loses the mini when....

1. I try to stream music from iMac to mini...(starts to stutter and stops after 20 minutes or so)
2. I transfer a large file (file xfer completes and then mini can't be accessed via finder)

Afterwards I can still ping the mini or share screen, but can't access the mini via finder. I have to reboot the iMac to access the mini.

Have you tried to connect them through cables instead of wireless? That will eliminate the wireless variable.
