I'm looking for a network monitoring widget that will display all of the machines (or MAC Addresses) connected to my closed network. I've been forced to disable security, so a simple widget (or small app) that can alert me when an unauthorized (a.k.a., spoofed) MAC address has attached to my network.

Have you tried "Network Utilities" located in the Utilities folder within the Application Folder. Has a lot of useful tools one of which is "Netstat" and checking routing tables and a lot of other info.....

An unauthorized address is different than a spoofed address. A spoofed address would use the address of one of your machines when it was offline, or while keeping the original system tied up. For a simple thing, why not assign static addresses and turn off DHCP? That'll stop the "Oops, I just connected to this free network!" folks. Make the netmask small enough, keep the systems on it long enough and you could just use up the address space with legitimate systems.
