    hi

when i open network in my system prefs, it says

your network settings have been changed by another application.

and when i press ok it repeatedly produces this alert.
    my connection isn't adversely affected.

don't know what app it is
the only app i have running is firefox.
also the bluetooth icon on top of screen has a jagged line through it and says bluetooth not available.

    any ideas?

    i'm on a macbook
i use firefox, transmission, various music progs, and coffee.

Not sure what the answer is, i wish i did, i have exactly the same problem and would love to know what has affected it and how to cure it. I'm using a G5 iMac, but i also have a G4 iBook and that doesn't have the same problem.

A search on here should come up with something, as I read about it a couple of months back. Sorry don't recall the answer myself.
