I have just attached a hard drive to the USB port on my NetCom wireless router but I can't find any where how I can access it from my iMac. The H D was attached to my iMac but I want to access it wirelessly over my network. Any help would appreciated.

My guess is the hard drive needs to be formatted as FAT32 or NTFS and use the MBR partition table.

You can change this with Disk Utility in your Utilities folder. Select the Partition tab and your hard drive. Then change it to FAT32 at the Format option and the partition table to MBR found in the Options... button. I think FAT32 is referred to MS-DOS (FAT) in Disk Utility.

Note: Formatting your hard drive will delete all data on said drive. So if you already have anything on their back it up now.
