I've ordered my G5 and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I want to network my G5 to my Current AMD Windows Box (I'm using a switcher to connect my computrers). Can Jaguar easily detect a Windows Computer to setup file sharing? Or do I have to buy a new peice of software. I've also heard that Samba could be used but I'm not too familiar with Samba.

I'm asking this because I've sold my Windows Machine but want to transfer my files to the Mac.

Thanks

The mac can see the windows box just fine if they are hooked up to a network... You just have to make a new user profile, and then under your hard drive properties click the sharing tab then click on the add group (or something) button add your profile to it and give yourself all of the permissions...

on the mac side just (when this is done) in the finder click on the go menu item then select connect to server, or you could just hit Apple+K... then it will bring up your PC box and you can enter your Log & pass you just made....
