I was a little hesitant on buying in the first place and now it confirms they just want your money NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Why do you think you can't reach anyone on the phone...? Because they don't care. They just want your money.

It clearly says LEATHER LOOP and that is not what is in the package.Looks like a classic buckle to me... i can't use the buckle because i have a space grey watch. I've emailed called and nothing. My mistake for thinking the are a reputable company. Guess i learned my lesson. #fu*kCEX

If they don't respond to your emails or inquiries, perhaps you could sell the leather band to offset some of the cost and purchase the leather loop from another supplier.

I use CEX all the time (UK).

Normally an email reply takes anything from an hour to 1 day.

It's obvious they just sent out the wrong strap so in this instance if you feel they haven't replied to you quickly, pop to a CEX and they will refund in store. Obviously not an option if you live 2000 miles away.

btw. your title is very "click bait"

I sent the email and did not get a reply as of yet. So I'm still waiting on that. Second i do not live near a store so store refund isn't a option. I just want what i ordered nothing more nothing less.

I will see what the company wants to do first. If i am stuck with it then i will do that. But that's EXACTLY what i didn't want to do is the craigslist / offer up route thats why i bought from a company. Checked craigslist list / offer up and no one has the band in the smaller size. and none on eBay either so can't really do much else. Unless someone on here wanted to swap. I don't want 3rd party knock offs so no amazon.

Personally not a fan of buying used leather bands as it's not hygienic, but each to their own

I thought that picture made it look like it was used. I could not tell the band was new or used. I'm assuming this is a company only in the UK?

The OP is in the U.S., no? The price is quoted in $. The company is also in the U.K., they sell secondhand consoles, phones, accessories etc... Basically like a pawn shop lol

I wasn't sure if it was based in the UK. I see quite a few forum members make purchases from there that are from the UK.

Pawn shops usually do. I much prefer online ordering.

Yeah, usually the people that have to pawn things are not the classiest bunch. Not saying that people don't fall on hard times, but the larger percentage are a bit unkempt and this is why I would never buy watch straps from places like this.

That and pawnshops are notorious in my city for taking in stolen items. Usually just electronics, but I don't trust pawnshops standing behind their warranties and/or items that they negligently accept without considering they could be stolen.

Generalisation, but hey! :)

You can pick up some bargains sometimes. I got a Grade B Milanese Apple Watch strap for £38, The box had been opened but the actual strap was sealed and unused. I also took all my old DVDs there to trade in. The ones they didn't accept I took to a charity shop.

As much as I love these kind of shops, like cash for jewelry shops I also believe it's encourages theft because a robber can trade something in to CEX, no questions asked (appart from a CEX card). I am always a bit suspicious when someone is trading an unboxed PS4 with no cables or boxes on a Monday morning and they are in a hurry, for cash (and they look dodgy!) generalisation I know.

Not generalisations if you go into CEX Milton Keynes, a fact lol

I bought an iPhone 4S from there obviously a while back. It would cut out at 25% battery. I did all the battery cycle stuff I could but it still did it. I took it back and explained, they said pop back in 45 min. I did, all they did was charge it to 100%. They argued they couldn't see the issue. I argued back and got nowhere.

I ended up going to apple and getting a like for like swap.

For the OP. Still disgruntled I hassled them on twitter. Yes, twitter. I got a response which went to us emailing. I ended up with a voucher despite acting on the issue myself.

Worth a try?

That baffles me. CEX responded on Twitter, but not from their own website/E-mail. I have not heard very good things with their service and your post reaffirms more of the poor service.

And all they did was charge your iPhone for you. They probably thought they did you a favor.

UPDATE!!!!UPDATE!!!!UPDATE!!!!UPDATE!!!!UPDATE!!!!UPDATE!!!!UPDATE!!!!UPDATE!!!!UPDATE!!!!UPDATE!!!!

I did send a tweet and got nothing. BUT they did email me saying sorry if you want a refund go to a store or send it back to us. I did say i don't live by a store so i will have to mail it back "what are the next steps?". That was at 5am PST and it's now 3 PST and got no reply from them with with a prepaid shipping label or anything. SO far not very good customer service. To answer some of the questions they ARE a UK based company they have a OFFICE in New York not HEAD QUARTERS. And yes it seems like it is a pawn shop style online shop. So like ISHEEP5S said not worth buying something if you have to get it replaced down the road. I still wouldn't recommend buying anything from them.

Try shaming them on their FB page as well. I have had good luck with that with a certain company, that I won't mention because I had to sign an agreement not to do so, as part of them resolving the issue 100% to my satisfaction. But sometimes, especially with big ticket items, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Yeah i don't have FB. And i don't want to make a FB page just for that.

Why can't you use the band with a space grey? I just got a classic buckle style one from somewhere else and I love the contrast

Stainless steel "connectors , lugs" so where it slides into the watch will be bright shiny steel and my watch case is space grey. If i got the leather loop that isn't a issue because its all one seamless color.

I have the space grey model too. And I like the look of the contrasting connectors.
