I have an iPhone 6+ and news widget is gone. Changing region to US & back to Canada had no impact.

I have an iPhone 6+ and news widget is gone. Changing region to US & back to Canada had no impact.

Do you have your phone set to delete unused apps? I have that turned on and found that my news app had also been removed. Redownloading it and then changing the region back fixed it.

Edit: Also realized how old this is but I’ll leave this just in case people are still having the issue.
