New 11" and 13" air with Filemaker Pro

I am a big user of Filemaker Pro. I used it for years on several macbook airs a and b, 13" macbook pros. Never had a problem till I got both the 11" and 13" air. It crashes constantly and I wind up loosing the info I am working with on a record. Has anyone else had a problem? I was wondering if it has to do with the flash drive and the setting in the energy / system prefs. (Put the Hard Drive(s) to sleep when possible) It was checked, I now unchecked it, but was wondering if there was any other issue. Also I upgraded from 10 to 11.

i'm looking at acquiring filemaker pro. i currently have a Rev B Air.

I have FMP but don't use often.

It runs fine on both 11 and 13".

Don't know what could be causing the problem, sounds more like corrupt file than a slow machine?
