only thing for me is that the internet cuts out and then 'scans' every 10-12 minutes or so, which is quite annoying, but not annoying enough to pull my hair out.
ithink it might be my router though, (2wire)
but my old powerbook stil finds the signal ok.
works perfectly but im sending it back coz of the stupid yellow issue plus the shadows on the windows didnt blend nicely you could see where the shadow ends. compared it next to my girlfriends also brand new mbp hers was perfect. beautiful screen compared to my pos. apple picking up on tues then sending me a new one.
Does "I'm getting outside too little now" count as a major issue?
No, it works perfectly well.
The fans sounds a bit more than on my former mac (macbook) that was essentially completely quiet. I don't know if this is normal?
I would imagine so because of the fact that this machine has two fans (which both run at higher speed than on my single fan on the MB), and it has more stuff to cool.
At first when I was reading all these problem posts I was becoming worried that my Mac would show up buggy or messed up. Not the case at all, it was perfect! No wireless problems I can detect so far either
The results so far are encouraging. It seemed like there were so many posts about the problems. This is actually making me feel a lot better about my new MBP.(delivers on Monday)
people like to complain and moan. The whole reason i found this site was trying to fix a problem... you're always going to get a biased response, since people with flawless macbooks will be using them!
These results are encouraging. I will be going to the Apple store soon to buy a 15" MBP and I was pretty worried about the issues that people have been having.
Few issues with mine, it's a bit warped, i had the popping audio issue, but it went away, and the most irritating is that it once took 30 minutes to shut down, and it didn't even finish shutting down, so i force quit it.
Mine's having some sleep issues, but I can live with it since as far as I can tell they go away when I disconnect all USB devices before sleeping it. However, I still think that I shouldn't have to do that...
I got mine also from the refurbish store and works flawlessly. I buy refurbish because they do a thorough check. Plus buying new for any electronics is a lot more cash when you can buy a refurbish one for a lot less.
